As part of the European Commission funded project “FOCUS on Athletes”, EU Athletes together with an international research institute is conducting a survey on the working conditions of professional athletes in Europe. Amongst the sports taken into view are basketball, ice hockey, handball and rugby – both male and female.
The survey results will give an in-depth view into the professional, educational and sporting aspects of pro-athletes’ careers. A similar survey conducted by the Union Basketteurs d’Europe (UBE) in 2009 delivered valuable facts and knowledge for the development of European Sport Policies.
