EU Sport Forum is a unique annual opportunity for the main stakeholders to engage with the European Commission and to debate on the European Union’s policy in the field of sport. This year, it has taken place in The Hague, The Netherlands, 9-10 of March.
Around 330 delegates participated in this event, in order to discuss key issues such as the role of sport in the social inclusion of immigrants, good governance of sport organization and the 2016 edition of the European Week of Sport. The development of the EU sport policy, the work plan and roles of different working groups were given plenty of attention as well. During the session on results of the 2013 Preparatory Actions in the field of sport, EU Athletes has presented the PDM project, which has allowed to identify best practices and reinforce the players’ associations support for dual careers through exchange visits and job shadowing.
